Ahhh. Christmastime! Jean and I travel to Myrtle Beach, SC almost every year in December and take in the decorations for the holidays. On this trip I noticed the beautiful Christmas tree in front of the Dixie Stampede building located on the north side of town.

Thought, since the season is fast approaching, I’d share the stock photo with you.

There are so many interesting places and attractions in SC when you go a little off the beaten path. I am seldom dissapointed and the South Carolina Cotton Museum is no exception. We had a cotton mill in our town when I was younger but I never dreamed there would be exhibits I could turn into editorial stock photos later.

The grand strand is always one of  my favorite places to visit when I travel to Myrtle Beach, SC. There is something familiar and soothing about this stretch of highway. I visited the area many times when I was young so it’s nothing new but always refreshing.

I love to travel on the southeast coast of the USA and Georgia was sure a pleasant surprise. I always thought of the giant trees with moss overhanging the streets and, you can certainly see plenty of that in Savannah.

But, go a little further east and you’ll enjoy some wonderful beaches including Tybee Island.
